Help Fight CF, Donate

We are doing this Tandem Tour for a very simple reason. To raise money to fight for the causes that we believe in.

This morning, our dear friend Eva, the reason that we are riding for Cystic Fibrosis, passed away.

Eva had been fighting Cystic Fibrosis her entire life, and in 2007, she underwent a double lung transplant. Since the transplant, Eva had been working tirelessly to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis, and the importance of organ donation.

Eva was also facing chronic rejection, and this morning, she simply ran out of breath.

Eva was a beautiful girl, and touched everyone in her life with her warm and loving personality.

We are now asking people to please donate to the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in memory of Eva. Just click here:

For a look at Eva's story, you can watch the documentary film, 65_redroses, which profiles her life before, during and after transplant, and shows how she connected with other CF patients via her livejournal. You can sign up to be an organ donor on the website, at http://www.65redroses.com/

Getting Started

The Tandem Tour is a group of guys on a mission. Starting in May of this year, we are going to ride together on a quad-tandem bike from Victoria to Halifax, to raise money for four different charities. 4 Guys, 4 Charities, 1 Bike.

Each member of our team has been driven to donate to one of these charities, and thats why all proceeds go directly towards The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, The Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Diabetes Association of Canada, and The Friends of Redtail Society.

Now i know what you may be thinking..."you guys are crazy!"...and yes, although we may be a bit nutty, we know a good time when we see one, and we know that this is going to be one ca-razy trip. You can follow our trip in so many ways...check out www.thetandemtour.com for all kinds of information and fun things to look at.

You can also watch videos of the trip as it happens. We will be posting short videos of the trip along the way, and follow our progress as we ride across the country.

You can find us on twitter for up to the minute info on how we're doing.

You can also check us out on facebook.com/thetandemtour

That's it for now!! We're hard at work fundraising and trying to get some sponsorships...which is harder than it seems, but alas, we are so excited for this trip, and can't wait to get out there.

peace,

Ian
